At Magic Kingdom Learning Center, we are a close-knit team that goes above and beyond to create a family feel in our centers. We have a policy of consistent and extensive training for all our staff, to ensure they are up to date with the latest thinking when it comes to child care. All of our teachers have First Aid and CPR training, as well as Food Handler Safety. Most also have their CDA. (Childcare Development Associate)

Early Years Teacher

As a Teacher at Magic Kingdom, you will be responsible for creating lesson plans, and organizing structured activities for children ranging in age from 0 years to 12 years of age. Teachers are responsible for the safety and wellness of the children in their care through observation of the environment and behavior inside and outside of the facility. 

We’re looking for a high-energy, fun, outgoing, friendly, and organized individual who is passionate about working with children and eager to make a difference to the lives of families in our community.

Responsibilities and Duties:

➡ Effectively delivering our education program, ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in our setting are met.

➡ Keeping records of children’s development and learning through observation and development assessments

➡ Encouraging children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions

➡ Supporting all staff and engaging in a positive staff team

➡ Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with parents/carers, as well as co-workers and students

➡ Ensuring the provision of a high-quality environment that meets the needs of each individual child, while having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.

➡ Ensuring the safety of each child when they are at the center, including in classrooms, in common areas, and on the playground.

➡ Flexibility within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.

➡ Knowing and Understanding the state licensing requirements, Paths to Quality Standards, and TEXAS standards

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

  • Experience working with children less than 13 years of age is beneficial

Director

We’re looking for a high-energy, fun, outgoing, friendly, and organized individual who is passionate about working with children and eager to make a difference in the lives of families in our community.😊

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

✅ Oversee 10 to 12 teachers and staff and day-to-day operations. 

✅ Handle discipline and recommendations on termination of subordinate employees. 

✅ Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

✅ Communicates with staff and families on behalf of the owner. 

✅ Maintain and promote positive customer relations

✅ Ensure that all employees are conducting themselves according to our company standards.  

✅ Manage employee hours to reflect enrollment and tuition collected to help keep payroll costs down

✅ Maintain Magic Kingdom Learning Center quality standards through daily routines and supervision 

✅ Obtain daily numbers count throughout the day 

✅ Responsible for continuous center conformance to all Federal, State and local rules, regulations, and HHS Licensing requirements.  

✅ Implementing other responsibilities delegated by the owner.  

✅ Collaborates with the staff and teachers to sustain, promote, and grow the children and Center. 

✅ Manages budgets for regular and special programs and classroom expenses. 

✅ Timely perform evaluations for classrooms, each child, and staff.  

✅ Actively participate and/or attend specialized activities, events, projects and/or committees to enhance servant leadership at the center, and in the community. 

✅ Promote a cultural of safety and environmental protection by working in a safe manner, immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following Magic Kingdom Learning Center, LLC safety plans/procedures/protocols, and participating in appropriate safety training. 

Education and Experience: 

✅An associate of applied science degree in child development or a closely related field with six college credit hours in child development and three college credit hours in management. A “closely related field” is any educational instruction pertaining to the growth, development, physical or mental care, or education of children ages birth through 13 year and at least one year of experience in a licensed child-care center or a licensed or registered child- care home.  

✅ Six college credit hours in management with a Child Development Associate credential or Certified ChildCare Professional credential and at least one year of experience in a licensed child-care center or a licensed or registered child-care home; 

✅ A day-care administrator’s credential issued by a professional organization or an educational institution and approved by Licensing based on criteria specified in Subchapter P of Chapter 745 of this title (relating to Day-Care Administrator’s Credential Program) and at least two years of experience in a licensed child-care center or licensed or registered child- care home; 

✅ Seventy-two clock hours of training in child development and 30 clock hours in management and at least three years of experience in a licensed child-care center or a licensed or registered child home care. 

✅Within 90 days after the licensee or person appointed by the licensee commences service as the director of a child care facility, apply to Texas Health and Human Services organization, and annually renew his or her registration before the date on which it expires.

You'll play a pivotal role in not only our kitchen but our entire center, where you'll craft meals for approximately 230 children, Monday through Friday. Your duties will include serving breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner to our little ones.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for inventory management and ensuring impeccable cleanliness and organization within our kitchen.
